Location: Bromley by Bow, London E3 3TZ Job Type: Permanent role, starting immediately/flexible Salary: £25-35k We are looking to hire a workshop technician with industry experience. This person will support our product development team, create prototypes and lead small production runs as we scale our technology. We regularly prototype various components associated with our helmets, we have been bringing various processes in house and have reached a point where the equipment we’re operating requires a team of dedicated and hands-on individuals. The successful candidate will join a team of skilled & experienced engineers and designers, in which you will have the opportunity to tangibly shape the future of HEXR, and of head protection, as we continue to develop our industry-leading technologies. Key responsibilities: Operating our: Thermoforming machine and drying oven Screen printer Laser cutter 5 Axis CNC router (Training to be provided to right candidate) Vinyl plotter FDM 3D printers Standard woodworking equipment Vacuum and silicone casting processes Sourcing workshop equipment Sourcing and managing the material stock for the above machines Assembling small batches of helmets Requirements: Essential The candidate must have workshop experience, with a practical can-do attitude and hands on approach Self motivated with the willing to learn, listen and crack on with the tasks in hand without being mollycoddled A good knowledge of typical workshop machinery and tools Ability to work on site at the Hexr Lab (E3 3TZ) Nice to have Health and safety knowledge and certifications Experience in a similar helmet industry Cherry on top Creating CAM toolpaths from our 3D Data (Training can be provided to the right candidate) Demonstration of entrepreneurial spirit A passion for sport.
