GC Bike Repairs is all about keeping people on the go….whatever it takes. Our business is filled with positive attitude, can do people – all of whom are obsessed with ensuring our customers have the very best experience. Most of our team are either cyclists, use the bike to commute or just love bikes as a piece of engineering. 

As one of our workshop managers your primary focus will be to ensure that our customers are the absolute prime focus of your attention. Whether fixing punctures, trimming Di2 or bleeding brakes you will ensure all customers are treated with the same respect, whatever job you are doing. 

You’re able to speak to customers in the way they want to be talked to. If they know nothing you can explain in clear and simple ways what is required, if they want to debate the merits of 11 or 12 speed you’re able to have that conversation. 

It goes without saying that you are able to fix all bikes from kids bikes through to high end bikes. If you’ve got specific gaps in your knowledge we’ll put training in place to get you where you need to be.

Our expectation of you 

You’ll be setting the tone in your store – equally adept at repairing bikes or creating quotes for clients. You’ll have been looking for an opportunity to move from behind the work stand. You’ll be used to hitting sales and spend targets. 

You’ll be entrepreneurially minded and look for new opportunities to make your store stand out with community activities. 

You’ll be able to work within a business that welcomes feedback but happy to follow agreed procedures. 

You’ll be able to ask for help when needed and identify what you’re great at and what needs improving. 

You’ll be able to work with other staff and mentor apprentices as and when required. You’ll be able to sell things to customers in an informed and friendly way. 

You will of course be an experienced mechanic adept at all repairs. 


  • Cytech 2/3 or relevant experience 
  • Minimum 4 years working as a cycle mechanic or manager 
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Great organisational skills 
  • Excellent phone manner 
  • Able to use POS system and office tools
