Its directors now seek to appoint a Director, UK to lead the organisation through to its next exciting phase of growth in the rest of the UK.\r\n\r\nOur Services are:\r\n\r\n- Fleet Maintenance for Bike Share Schemes; Bike Subscriptions; and Digital Tools\r\n\r\nV\u00e9logik Group already have a strong presence and maintain 50,000 bikes in Europe and the UK (V\u00e9ligo and V\u00e9lib in Paris; Free V\u00e9lo\u2019v in Lyon, and Nextbike in Glasgow).\r\n\r\nThe Director, UK will be responsible for the overall operations of the company within the UK, in line with Bike for Good and V\u00e9logik\u2019s local and global strategies and will be focussed on business development and the launch of new city locations.\r\n\r\nPrinciple Accountabilities\r\n\r\nBusiness Operations:\r\n\r\n \tManagement of and Overseeing UK Business Operations\r\n \tManagement of Operations Managers\r\n \tDevelop and drive initiatives within the management team\r\n \tEnsure a professional climate that promotes the values of the company\r\n \tOversee employee performance and financial growth and stability\r\n \tEnsure that a system is in place for effective communication within the management team, with Bike for Good and V\u00e9logik\r\n \tAny other duties relevant to operations across the business\r\n \tHelp grow our current employee count of 20 plus in Glasgow to UK wide\r\n\r\nBusiness Development:\r\n\r\n \tLead Motion Forward\u2019s sales strategy as agreed by the Board\r\n \tManage the development of the organisation, partnership opportunities and all external communication and marketing activity\r\n \tSeek new business opportunities through effective working with key partners and stakeholders\r\n \tHead up Public Relations with Local Authorities, members of Government and other relevant cycling organisations and partners\r\n \tPresence at Motion Forward events and during launches in new cities (willingness to travel is essential including overseas where required)\r\n \tAny other duties relevant to Business Development across the business\r\n\r\nFinancial Control:\r\n\r\n \tDevelop, monitor, and guarantee compliance with the operating and investment budgets\r\n \tOversee customer and supplier invoicing\r\n \tTake remedial action where necessary and to inform the Board of any issues\r\n \tEnsure that Motion Forward complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements (H&S, GDPR, Cyber Security, etc) and appropriate best practices in corporate governance\r\n \tAny other duties relevant to Financial Control across the business\r\n\r\nKnowledge, skills, and experience required:\r\n\r\n \tA confident, visionary leader, who can engage with senior stakeholders\r\n \tResults-driven approach, creating innovative solutions, winning together the right way\r\n \tCommitting to realising the vision of Motion Forward and can inspire engagement, passion, and performance\r\n \tInitiative \u2013 the ability to work alone and take a lead when hurdles arise or when tasks require completion\r\n \tPassionate and collaborative team player with a high degree of integrity and personal responsibility\r\n \tCandidates must be able to demonstrate experience of working with complex stakeholder groups and be comfortable and confident in this environment\r\n \tEducated to degree level or equivalent\r\n\r\nMotion Forward is committed to Corporate Social Responsibility, additionally we encourage people that identify with a marginalised background to apply for our roles, however all applications are welcome and will be treated fairly and equally.
