The sustainable lifestyle brand founded by Formula One driver Fernando Alonso, Kimoa, has unveiled its first e-bike.
Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix this weekend in the US, the Kimoa E-bike is being shown for the first time, featuring a custom 3D-printed carbon fibre frame andup to 55-mile range from the battery.
Kimoa, founded in 2017, is a lifestyle brand offering a range of sustainable clothing and accessories, from T-shirts to sunglasses.
The brand’s first e-bike has been made in collaboration with Arevo, a California-based technology company that automates and designs a variety of products.
Fernando Alonso, a two-time F1 world champion, said: “At the heart of Kimoa’s DNA is our drive to create a more sustainable lifestyle.
“The Kimoa E-Bike powered by Arevo gives people a curated step towards that active and sustainable lifestyle, tailored specifically for each rider.”
Kimoa’s e-bike is made using Arevo’s unique system, 3D printed in a single pass of carbon fibre thermoplastic composite, unlike other carbon bikes that are glued and bolted together.
There are more than 500,000 possible geometry combinations, and each bike will be customised for individual riders.
The bike will be available for $3,999 and will be sold exclusively online at www.kimoa.com.
As the launch takes place at the flagship SimplyEV store in Miami, fans and customers can test out and design their own custom Kimoa e-bike in store, along with a number of other events and highlights to mark the official release.
